Hey!
I went to see Roman on remand. We only had 20 minutes so not nearly enough time to talk properly, we didn’t even get a chance to discuss what would happen to our business – I guess it’ll have to get sorted after his trial. He’s resigned and his only concern is Nicole. Aden and Belle have moved into Roman’s townhouse together, Nic doesn’t seem to understand that she can’t look after the house considering she’s still in school and obviously not working in order to pay the mortgage.
I was right last week when I said that it would’ve been Jack’s birthday. It was so odd for Tony to take Angelo fishing that day. I hear they went out to Perkins Point, though I dunno how anyone can catch fish there – it’s a bunch of cliffs and crashing waves. Jack’s buried up there, strange place to take your son’s killer for some recreational time if you ask me. Angelo was walking and slipped over the edge but it’s a good thing that Tony was there to grab him in time! Meanwhile, Rachel had a bit of a scare, she almost collapsed and was bleeding at the hospital but Miles was there to look after her (he happened to be collecting Roman’s valuables). I rushed to be by her side especially because Tony wasn’t answering his phone! Miles and I stayed with her until he arrived, with Martha and Hugo in tow. We asked them what had happened but got the impression they were hiding something, they looked really suspicious. Rach just burst into tears when Tony arrived, she was being so strong – I felt bad asking her to explain the other doctor’s diagnosis in layman’s terms. The baby’s fine, Rach has been confined to bed rest for a while though.
After seeing Rach, Miles has been telling me how broody he is! It’s so cute! You don’t usually see guys getting clucky like that but Miles would be a fantastic dad….not sure how enthused Kirsty is though. They have enough drama in their house at the mo with Ollie being a normal kid and acting up a bit (VJ still does that so it won’t end for them anytime soon lol). And they’re also having to deal with the teenage angst of Nic who keeps having Trey around. Get this – Kirsty busted them in Nic’s bed after spending the night together (though Miles had already spoken to her about letting Trey come and go as he pleases)…apparently all they did was sleep but that’s not what Trey was saying in the Diner. Both Kirsty and I were saying that we understand how vulnerable she is right now but Trey really might not be the best person for her.
It was Lou’s funeral this week and Irene was debating whether or not to go and decided not to go but that horrible Donna visited her and said that she wanted her there to help celebrate Lou’s life but Irene ended up missing the whole thing because Donna told her the wrong time on purpose. What a cow! Annie and Geoff did a small memorial service so Irene was able to say bye though. As for the investigation, Irene’s sure that Donna hired an Officer from the prison to plant alcohol in her cell because she saw them talking on the beach but she has no proof - I hope Angelo can find something.
Well that’s about all that’s happening around here.
Take care!
Leah
