East Link 5 months ahead of schedule

Melbourne's $2.5 billion East Link will open to traffic five months early, on June 29.

The first four weeks will involve free travel, before the toll period starts.

The motorway links Mitcham and Frankston and features 17 interchanges, seven kilometres of toll-free bypasses, and twin three-lane tunnels under the Mullum Mullum Valley.
