Model Lara Bingle has paid tribute to her father as a kind and thoughtful man, who was loved by many.
Graham Bingle, 55, lost his battle with liver and pancreatic cancer and died in Sydney's Calvary Hospital on Saturday.
Bingle, 20, on Monday released a statement thanking people for their support.
"My family and I would like to say how appreciative we are of the support we have been shown during this difficult time," Bingle said.
"My dad was loved by so many people.
"The way he made people laugh, his kindness and thoughtfulness will always live on in our hearts."
Bingle's fiance, cricketer Michael Clarke, delayed his departure for the Australian tour of the West Indies on Thursday when Mr Bingle's condition worsened.
"All I can do right now is provide as much support and strength as I can to Lara and her family," Clarke said prior to Mr Bingle's death.
"Like all families that have endured loss it is very difficult and sad."
A funeral will be held later this week, Bingle's agent said.
