"Grey's Anatomy" carves out narrow win for ABC

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Grey's Anatomy" halted its post-strike declines Thursday night and led ABC to a narrow victory over CBS.

"Grey's" (15.6 million viewers, 6.1 preliminary adults 18-49 rating and a 16 share) was on par with the previous week's series low, as was lead-in "Ugly Betty" (8 million, 2.4/7). At 10 p.m., "Lost" (11.3 million, 4.9/13) climbed a slight 4 percent to win the hour.

Coming in second in the key demographic but first in total viewers, CBS won 8 p.m. with "Survivor" (12.7 million, 4.1/12), which was down a notch from last week. The "CSI" episode (17.8 million, 4.9/13) written by "Two and a Half Men" scribes was down a few tenths from the preceding week, but "Without a Trace" (14.6 million, 3.8/10) climbed 15 percent.

Third-place NBC had "My Name Is Earl" (6.1 million, 2.6/8) and the season finale of "Scrubs" (5.4 million, 2.5/7). For the third week in a row, "The Office" (7.2 million, 3.6/7) had its lowest rating of the year. The "30 Rock" (5.6 million, 2.6/7) finale was unchanged from last week. "ER" (7.6 million, 2.9/8) once again had its lowest rating ever.

Fox's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" (7.7 million, 1.9/6) had its lowest Thursday ever, and "Don't Forget the Lyrics" (6.2 million, 2.0/5) marked its lowest rating since November.

The CW aired "Smallville" (4.0 million, 1.5/5) and "Supernatural" (2.5 million, 1.0/3).
