Push for TMAG building heritage listing

The Tasmanian Heritage Council wants heritage listing for another Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery building.

The building is on the corner of Argyle and Davey Streets and houses the museum's Antarctic exhibition.

It was built in 1966 as an addition to the Museum.

The five other main museum buildings and the Dunn Street car park have been on the state's heritage list since the late 1990s.

Public comment on the proposal closes on June 7.
