IBM Sets Up Technical Centers in Japan and Germany

IBM has established technical centers of excellence in Japan and Germany to address growing demand for its products in the countries. It also plans to use the centers for its regional expansion efforts.

The centers will be based in the IBM Yamato Software Development Lab, Kanagawa, and in the IBM Boeblingen Lab near Stuttgart. The facilities will focus on database optimization, enterprise content management, data warehousing, information integration, master data management, business intelligence, and performance management.

Ambuj Goyal, general manager at IBM information management, said: "The Information on Demand Technical Centers of Excellence will closely align IBM's most talented technical resources from our worldwide labs with customers to help them rapidly tap into our expertise to solve their specific industry challenges."
