Detective to probe missing SA boy's father

An Adelaide major crime detective has travelled to Perth to speak with the father of a Western Australian toddler who is believed to be missing in South Australia's far north.

Aalia Zilic was last seen with his three-year-old son Imran in Coober Pedy on April 21 and the young boy has not been seen since.

Imran's mother in Perth reported him missing after he was not returned by his father after a custody visit.

The father has been detained by Western Australia police under the Mental Health Act.
