Sydney in punctual position
Sydney Airport has tied for third on a list of the world's most punctual airport arrivals and departures.
The world's 50 busiest airports were ranked for their punctuality by Forbes Traveler magazine.
Japan's busiest airport, Haneda, was ranked at number one, ahead of its sister airport Narita, based on punctuality data from FlightStats, an Oregon-based company that tracks historical and real-time flight information for airports and airlines around the world.
Sydney's Kingsford Smith International was equal third with Taiwan's Taoyuan International, with about 80 percent of international commercial flights arriving and departing on schedule.
New York City's La Guardia airport was at the bottom of the list. Less than 60 percent of commercial flights departed on time last year, with an average wait time of 58 minutes. And only 58 per cent of arrivals were considered punctual. - Travelpress travel news
