The Urban Development Institute is pleased that South Australia's population growth has accelerated.
It has released data showing that SA's population growth rate has increased from 0.3 per cent to 0.8 per cent.
Institute president Peter Jackson says there is hope that the State Government's population target of two million people by 2030 will be met.
"Still a little below the national average, however it's a significant jump from the base we had in recent years and around 15,000 to 16,000 persons net increase per annum is in line with the Government's target," he said.
