The WA Farmers Federation says the rural community is making progress in reducing on-farm deaths.
Figures released by WorkSafe have revealed that two thirds of workplace deaths in the past 10 years were in the country.
WorkSafe blames the deaths on old and outdated farming practices.
Federation president Mike Norton says farmers are trying to address the issues that lead to fatal accidents.
"Certainly isolation is probably one reason, other reasons are you know people working on their own whereas a lot more people are around in the city," he said.
