There has been a further jump in the number of people moving to Queensland, with the state remaining the most popular destination for interstate migrants.
Queensland Treasury says a widening economic growth differential between Queensland and other states saw almost 27,000 people move interstate to Queensland last year - which is about 520 people each week.
At the same time, overseas migration reached a historic high of almost 34,000 or 653 people each week.
Overall, the figures mean almost 1,200 people move to Queensland each week, compared to the previous weekly average of about 1,050 people.
