Vic's underworld mums meet in TV stoush

Two mothers have confronted each other on national television over Melbourne's gangland wars.

Channel 7's Today Tonight program has broadcast a staged meeting between Judy Moran and Barbara Williams in all states except Victoria.

Ms Williams is the mother of convicted murderer Carl Williams, who is in jail for killing Judy Moran's husband Lewis Moran and her son Jason Moran.

On Monday Justice Betty King ordered the show not be aired in Victoria to avoid an impact on the trial of Evangelos Goussis.
