The proponents of a tourist resort on the Abrolhos Islands will appeal against strict environmental restrictions placed on the project.
The Environmental Protection Authority has granted permission for the $27 million resort to proceed but imposed strict limits on how far the development must be set back from the shoreline of Long Island.
The environmental approval process has taken two years in light of strong opposition from conservationists and heritage groups.
Humfrey Developments has until Monday to submit its final appeal to the Environment Minister whose response will be binding.
