Cash van robbed in Sydney

By 7News Detectives are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van at Homebush this morning.

At 11.50am four armed men approached a cash-in-transit van which was stationary on The Crescent.

The masked men threatened the three guards with firearms before stealing their weapons and an amount of cash.

The offenders fled the scene in a white van.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

The reported stolen white van was recovered burnt out in Strathfield.

It has been seized and is undergoing a forensic examination.
