Voters left thinking on election eve

Four million New South Wales voters will tomorrow face one of the toughest decisions in any state election.

Voters have a choice between a Government widely disliked and an Opposition many think do not have a chance to win.

Polls show Opposition Leader Peter Debnam's disapproval rating is 67 per cent with Premier Morris Iemma at 59 per cent.

"Morris Iemma is saying nothing needs to change and that is wrong," Mr Debnam told 7News.

"We just need to get back to basics in running public transport and it is very important we get the resources through to the front line."

Mr Iemma said fixing the transport mess is his number one priority.

"My job is to deliver massive improvement in public transport," he said.

"The first new carriages have arrived, they have been delivered, we are moving through our program of maintenance, better signalling and giving the public the kind of public transport system they deserve and can be proud of."
